Les Bols de Jean

Hello there,

This weekend I have tested a new  restaurant called LES BOLS DE JEAN. It is opened by a famous chief called JEAN IMBERT (who won a french cooking contest called “TOP CHEF” in 2012) and a famous baker called Eric Kayser.

If you are in Paris for holiday, or live in Paris and looking for an original frenchy restaurant then you need to test this new concept! The food is served in a bowl made of bread and you basically eat in the bowl and finally eat the bowl itself :). You have a variety of choices, and I tried the Christmas Bowl. It was just delicious !

The prices are reasonable, it goes from 7€ to 15€ (only the bowl). It is a good alternative to a burger or a sandwich. I will for sure go back to test another bowl :).

Please find below the address :
2 Rue de Choiseul
75002 Paris

Bon appétit !

Time flies- Graduation day

Hop back into the time with TIMEHOP

Time flies so quickly that you don’t even notice. Tonight, was one of those nights where I looked at my TIMEHOP app to see what had happened on the same date 1 to 5 years ago. And check out the picture that I have found 🙂

YES ! I got graduated 2 years ago, actually it was more than 2 years ago but our graduation ceremony was held the year after. So nostalgic! Gosh, 3 years already that I have been graduated and working… I sometimes miss my student life, going to Starbucks after school to study but finally ending up chatting and studying until no time in the evening for exams 🙂
Working is not bad though, it is different, it is another part of your life. You start to be really independent because you start to earn your own money.  Every part of your life is important, so ENJOY YOUR STUDENT LIFE!

Check ou the TIMEHOP app if you are interested

It simply  brings together your old photos and posts from your social network.

Have fun !

YouCam Makeup-The Beauty photo app

Do you know YOUCAM Makeup ?

I discovered this app recently and It is quite fun. It does a pretty good job in adding false lashes and eye shadows. It can enhance your eyes and even give you double eyelid :). You can either choose a photo from your gallery or take a picture live to have fun with the app.

Here are some examples that I did 🙂

This is a picture of me that I picked in my  photo gallery
without using YOUCAM

And here are my experiences with YOUCAM 🙂

Can you guess what I have changed ? 🙂

Apart from customizing your look you can also find some beauty tips, and join the beauty circle to share your experienced and ideas.

I had fun playing around with the app but I personally think that natural beauty is the most important. Learn to love yourself and the way you are !

Some little ideas…

Hello Guys,

I wanted to share with you a little Idea that came through my mind today. Yes it does happen sometimes 🙂

I needed to find a way to organize some of my makeups like Mascara and Eyeliner. I don’t have much space on my dressing table so I didn’t want to overstock the desk area. And the most important thing is that I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on that.

So with all that in mind, I had an idea :

I went to a random shop called Sostrene Grene where it sells all kind of things for bedroom, kitchen, bathroom for a quite cheap price. All I wanted was to find a simple jar that I can customize a little.

So this is what I bought for only 1,12€

But it was a little too plain for me, so I decided to add some customization :

It was too sad to throw the lid away so I decided to use it to put some of my rings and my Pandora bracelet 🙂

TAADAAA… this is the result.

And of course it is nothing too amazing but it was enough for me and sometimes less is more 🙂

What do you think of my customization ? How do you store your makeups?

My LG Pocket Photo Printer

To all picture loverS out there please check out the LG POCKET PHOTO PRINTER

This LG Pocket printer is amazing, you can print any photos from your smartphone. I love taking pictures and capturing special moments with my phone, so this was perfect for me. I have a polaroid too, but I never know if I have managed to capture well the selfie 🙂

A few words about how it works :
  • You need to download the app on your phone ( Android/IOS)
  • Insert the photo paper into the printer. No ink is needed.
  • Select the photo you want to print, then edit as you like. You can add borders, and filters.
  • Click on the print button and VOILA… the lovely picture is printed.

The quality of the pictures is not as neat as the ones you will print out from a normal printer, but it definitely does the job for me.

Maybe the only downside about this printer is when it comes to buying the photo papers. Because each time you print out some pictures in front of your friends everyone wants one 🙂

I got mine as a gift, but to all of my Frenchies out there you can find it at the FNAC store or at Amazon. Check out my link below :

I would have loved to have the pink one too 🙂

Did you know about this Printer? Would you like to have one ?

Hello Everyone !

I have always wanted to start a diary to drop down meaningful things that I see, experienced and understand throughout the years, but I never had enough time or courage to do so.  But here we are ! There are so many meaningful things that surround us but they are sometimes so little that we ignore them. Lets take some time to ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS =)

Who is behind this little diary ?
I am Caroline, 27 years old  (even if most people think I look like a 18 year old haha). I live in France and both of my parents are from Hong-Kong. I have a mix culture even if i find myself more Cantonese than French. You might wonder why I write in English in my blog, just simply because I find it easier to share things by writing in English… don’t ask me why.
